Easy Lemon Garlic Fried Rice Recipe
Lemon garlic fried rice
is a recipe that can be cooked with ease at home just like restaurants. This recipe is a very beautiful and tasty preparation of rice.
Ingredients
- Rested rice - 1 bowl (Basmati rice is
preferred, otherwise any readily available rice will do)
- Lemon – 1
- Garlic cloves (4 - 5 whole, 10-12 chopped)
- Salt to taste
- Green chilies – 2
- Olive oil, butter (any refined oil can also be
used)
- Lemon leaves for garnish (optional)
Recipe
1. Heat a frying pan.
2. Add 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil or refined oil to it.
3. When the oil gets
hot, lightly fry 4-5 garlic cloves in it and keep aside for garnish.
4. Add the chopped
garlic cloves to the same oil, and lightly fry them.
5. Now add the rested
bowl of rice slowly to the oil, and stir it.
6. Add 1 tablespoon butter on top of the rice and mix well till the butter melts. However, this recipe can be made entirely in oil also.
7. Add salt as per
taste, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 2 chopped raw chilies to the
rice, and stir it properly.
8. Add some lemon
zest to the rice by slightly rubbing the lemon’s outer skin on a grater.
9. Finally, plate the
lemon garlic fried rice with some lemon slices, fried garlic cloves, and lemon
leaves. Serve hot and enjoy.
